Mother Language – Literary Workshop – OUSL, Nawala – 2026.09.28
To mark Mother Language Day, a special lecture series titled “Language Diversity and the Importance of Language Preservation in a Multilingual Sri Lankan Society” was held for students and academic staff of the Department of Language Studies at the Open University of Sri Lanka. The event took place on September 28, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Faculty of Health Sciences auditorium of the university.
The keynote addresses were delivered by Professor S.J. Yogaraja and Dr. Dhammika Jayasinghe from the Department of Sinhala Studies, University of Ruhuna.
