The information will be updated soon.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> (2025-01-31)<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>State Literary Advisory Board of the Arts Council of Sri Lanka is established for the purpose of advising and assisting the Arts council on the general advancement of the literary art forms and to support the excellence, diversity and vitality of Sri Lankan literature in the languages of Sinhala, Tamil and English so that the public can experience the highest standard of literary art forms, in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n<p>Literature Panel of the Arts Council of Sri Lanka recognizes the importance of the promotion of the work by Sri Lankan writers both nationally and internationally to ensure Sri Lanka is recognized for its great writers and its quality contemporary writing.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Objectives of the Establishment of State Literary Advisory Board.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Principal role of this panel is to take action for the advancement of the literary work in all the three languages Sinhala, Tamil and English and conservation and development of literary work, Various programmes are annually implemented\u00a0 in order to achieve this objective.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holding State Literary Awards festival.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting lectures on literature in various parts of the island in order to enable school children and the public to appreciate literature.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting literary workshops in various parts of the island for promoting people&#8217;s appreciation of literary of short stories, novels, songs and poetry.<\/li>\n<li>Editing and publication of \u201cSahityaya\u201d magazine. This magazine is published quarterly embodying article from scholars.
